What’s most frustrating is that it’s largely women defending these type of celebrities. That there’s some sort of dumb logic where if you find the guy attractive enough they’re free of all rules in regards to human decency. That, “Oh, if that were me, he can nonconsensually beat me any day.”

You know I never really thought of that as an Asian stereotype, but then again I’m much more in touch with the Asian community than most. Thinking back, that’s a pretty valid point. A lot of Asian roles are that more of a plot tool than anything, usually without a significant degree of emotionality. (Especially male Asian roles.)
